1. What is Evaluated?

  • Vital Checks: Height, weight, blood pressure, eyesight, and blood typing.

  • Physical Exam: Review of the neck, chest, hearing, and color blindness testing.

  • Systemic Review: Screening for chronic conditions, cardiac issues, or respiratory diseases.


2. Japan Pre-Entry Tuberculosis (TB) Screening (JPETS)

  • Initial Screening: A digital Chest X-Ray and a symptoms questionnaire are mandatory for all applicants.

  • Secondary Testing: If any abnormalities appear on the X-ray, sputum tests are required over three consecutive mornings.

⚠️ Important: Sputum culture results can take up to 10 weeks. Book your medical appointment early to avoid visa delays.
