Dr. Arjun Karki grew up in Humla, where the nearest hospital was a 5-day walk away. After earning his medical degree, he returned home, carrying medicines on his back to treat villagers. Today, his mobile clinic serves 30+ remote communities, and his training program has produced 15 local health workers. His motto: "If patients can’t reach the hospital, the hospital must reach them."
